We are committed to improving the safety of children and young people

We are committed to supporting and enhancing the safety of children and young people. Whether we see you face-to-face, or we’re supporting your parent or carer, we will always be thinking about your needs. We will work to make sure you are safe and cared about.

Did you know you have your own set of human rights?

No matter where you live, what language you speak, what your parents do, what your religion is, what your gender is, or whether you live with a disability, all children and young people have a set of rights.

These rights are listed in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Almost every country in the world has agreed to these important rights. They include the right to receive an education, the right to food, clothing and a safe place to live. You also have a right to be protected from harm, and to have a say on all decisions made that affect you.

Women’s Legal Service Tasmania works to recognise and protect your human rights. We want all Tasmanian children and young people to be safe, happy and respected. We also want to hear from you if you have some feedback you want to share with us about how you found working with us, whether it is good or bad.

We welcome your feedback
