Women’s Legal Service Tasmania is a not-for-profit charity that empowers disadvantaged women and their children to build their independence and enhance their safety through the provision of legal advice and assistance – we are able to help women change their lives.

Through education, representation, and advocacy for fair and just laws, Women’s Legal Service Tasmania also benefits the whole community.

While our core funding comes from the Commonwealth Government, the generosity of donors, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters helps ensure that this vital work continues.
