Simone Zell

Simone is the CEO of Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania. She has worked for over 20 years as a practitioner, policy maker and manager in the areas of education, sector development and young people’s health and wellbeing. 

Simone holds a Bachelor Social Work (Hons) from University of Queensland and is a Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She has a particular interest in governance, and has been part of projects to support good governance across the community services industry. Her practice has spanned community and government agencies and includes policy, training and development in the community sector, leading collaborative projects in the Tasmanian youth sector and managing a state government youth health service.

She has a particular interest in the interface between policy/theory and practice, working collaboratively across sectors and using creativity and kindness.
